Heart of Gold is open to verified adults (18+) in the State of Texas who are looking for a serious, intentional connection. We are deliberately not a hookup app, not an escort directory, and not an adult-content platform.
Every member completes live-selfie face verification before their profile is published. A photo of the member, captured in real time, is compared against their profile photos using an automated face-matching system run on our own servers. Members whose selfie does not match their profile photos cannot publish a profile.
This is the single most important rule on the platform. It is why Heart of Gold has materially lower fraud and impersonation risk than the unverified dating services for which the category is often known.

Heart of Gold does not facilitate or process any payment between members. There are no virtual gifts, no tips, no paid messages, no pay-to-unlock content, no in-app purchases, and no creator economy. The only payment that flows through Heart of Gold is the subscription fee, paid by the cardholder directly to Heart of Gold via our payment processor.
Members must not ask other members for money, gifts, or other consideration. Members must not send money, gifts, or other consideration to other members in connection with this service. Doing so is a violation of these rules and grounds for termination.
Every member must use their real first name, recent photos of themselves, and accurate information in their profile. Specifically:

Heart of Gold is strictly limited to adults aged 18 and over. Any account suspected of belonging to a minor is suspended immediately pending review. Content that sexualizes minors is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
To report a profile, message, or photo that violates this policy, use the report function inside the app or email safety@heartofgoldaustin.com. We review every report. Where a violation is confirmed:
If your account has been suspended or terminated and you believe this is an error, email hello@heartofgoldaustin.com with your registered email address and a brief explanation. We review every appeal in good faith.
We may update this Community Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. We will notify members of material changes by email or in-app.
